PJ Day

Hi All,

The Student Council has organised a PJ Day on Tuesday the 16th June to raise funds for Hashimi School in Herat, Afghanistan. The money will be used for finishing painting, putting in windows, doors and insulation.

There is a link to the charity website http://aidachildrensfund.org

and a Youtube clip about the school we are supporting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSYy315-W28

Can't wait to see all the kids dressed up in their best PJ's (oh and Ms. Sumer in your pussycat PJ's! :) )

Production News

Hi Team,

Things are really starting to heat up around the production! The foxes are totally nailing the songs in class. Our dance is looking pretty shiny too! 🎭

Regarding the costumes for our dance we have tried to keep things simple and easy so check out this note that was sent home with the class members today.

Last Garden to Table for Term Two

We have had such fun this term at garden to table! The vegetable beds are looking all ready for a cozy winter and some flowers have been added to give a pop of colour. We loved the cooking with Dana and really surprised ourselves with the yummy food we made. 😍

Whaia Jane comes to visit the Foxes Den

We had a special visit from Whaia Jane who taught us some te reo Maori.
First she read us a beautiful story called 'The Child of Aotearoa'. Then we learnt how to introduce ourselves in Te Reo Maori.

Ko wai toku ingoa (What is your name?)
Ko Max toku ingoa (My name is Max.)

We also played Find Maui to practice this sentence structure. It was heaps of fun :)

'Where The Wild Things Are' Art by the Foxes

These are some of the art pieces that the fabulous foxes have been doing. We watched a video on YouTube about how to draw the Wild Things. We put sharpie around the outside and then coloured it in with pastel and dyed it with black or green dye. It was very exciting.
