Student Conferences

A mighty big thank you to the families who have been in so far for their conferences.  The students are so proud of their learning and are very keen to show off things that they have been doing.

This is a very important time for strengthening ongoing communication between home and school, as well as reporting progress.   It is an opportunity to celebrate your child's achievement and to discuss their next learning steps and goals.

I look forward to the rest of the Conferences next week.

Welcome to Room 20's Blog

We are a class of energetic and enthusiastic Year 3 and 4 students.  Enjoy looking at our Blog and see some of the fabulous things  we are doing and learning about in our classroom.

We have had a very, very busy term so far getting ready for our Wearable Arts Matariki Show on the 4 July.  Everyone has now designed and created an amazing cloak based on New Zealand Native trees and plants.  A special thanks must go out to all the parents and grandparents who were able to come along to our workshops to help with the cloak making.  Here is a sneak preview of some of the cloaks and students hard at work creating our cloaks at the workshops.

Wearable Arts Challenge with Miss Sweeney

Last week Room 20 enjoyed a day working co-operatively in small groups to create a Wearable Arts piece of clothing from newspaper.  Here are some of the results.
