Rehua Marae Visit

A Fabulous Visit!

The Foxy Foxes were really fortunate to be able to take a class trip to Rehua Marae. Thank you to all the parents that joined us and help make this trip happen. I think everyone agrees that we all learnt a lot and will look forward to returning next year.

Tahu Potiki is the Chief of the Ngai Tahu tribe. He brought his people to the South Island (Te Pounamu) in his waka the Takitimu

The fabulous Foxes and the lovely senior Kapa Haka kids at the front of Rehua marae's wharenui.

One of the many beautiful and intricate carvings inside the wharenui.

Getting ready for some poi action!

The excitement builds!

Pacific Island Travel Poster Home Learning Challenge

Amalie presenting her fabulous poster to the class.  We love your enthusiasm.  The challenge only went home on Friday!

Weetbix Tryathlon

Wow! Room 20 and 21 have some very keen triathletes who swam, ran and biked their hearts out this weekend.

Well done to those who took part and by all accounts they all did their best!
