Chapter Chatnz

Our class has been really enjoying reading Charlotte's Web by E.B.White. We have been following this really neat Blog called Chapter Chat NZ. It is this great Blog where Year 3/4 classes from all over NZ join together to share and discuss a chapter book.

Some of our class have got in on the action. Here is Maisy's Acrostic Poem made on the Piccollage App.

Performing Art's - Bollywood

Room 20 worked really hard in small groups to produce a Bollywood style dance. They were thinking about the elements of dance to achieve an interesting performance. We think they look great :)

Garden to Table - In the Kitchen

The latest session of Garden to Table saw us making Borscht Soup with beetroot.  This is an Eastern European speciality and can been eaten both hot and cold.  For most of the class this was their first taste of Borscht.

Verdict:  Most students devoured more than one bowl.  So that means a thumbs up!!!

May the 4th be with you!

Here are some pictures from the Star Wars madness day! The kids all had a great time and the senior students did a fabulous job organising some really fun activities for us! :)

Lots of people got into the spirit of it!

Feeling the dark side - Kylo Ren and Darth Vader!

I wouldn't want to come across these fearsome characters!

Luckily Princess Liea has got me covered!

"Oh NO!!! Its Kylo Ren and Darth Vader again!"

No Problem! Rey is on my side :)

End of term 1

Happy Holidays everyone!
Enjoy your break after a term crammed full of new learning, new friendships and new passions!

Alex's Triumph in Kung Fu!

Alex was not to be out done by his big sister Amy (she is currently featured in Room 8 & 9's blog)! He obviously had a fantastic month at his Kung Fu lessons!!

Here he is with not only a very smart looking certificate but also a gift voucher for The Warehouse. Happy spending Alex!!! :)

Basket Ball Fun

Miniball is proving a hit with the Year 3/4 Discoverers.

Looking a bit puffed after drawing the game against one of St Mark's miniball teams!

Puffed but all smiles :)
