Super Hero Day

Room 20 came to school dressed up in their favourite superhero outfits.  This was a school wide event to support and raise money for Lachie Sutherland and his family.
We enjoyed sharing our costumes and had a special visit in the morning from Flatman and Batman (Mr Callaghan).

On Wednesday Room 20 joined the rest of the school in a fun filled day of Maths related learning activities.

Each student created a Maths Mosaic picture of themselves.  Then they had to find out the Area, Perimeter and Fractional parts related to their portrait.

We wonder who will win the competition!

For Writing we wrote adventure stories about a character called "Zero the Hero"  who saved the day helping by people he came across.  Some of the ideas are hilarious!

For Reading we had to solve a Mathematical problem regarding 3 animals trying to cross  pillars to escape from  a group of dogs that were chasing them.

Finally we wrote our names in Fractions.

Studyladder will be available for students to access and use in the holidays between 9:00am - 3:00pm Monday to Friday.

The Year 3/4 classes finally got the opportunity to proudly display their cloaks to the other classes and their families today in two shows in the school hall.  Room 20 children were so excited to be able to wear their cloaks at last!

Room 20 with their Buddy Class

Room 20 have a Year 2 Buddy Class called the "Wise Owls".  We try to get together once  a week to share and celebrate our learning.  Last week we visited Room 5 to see the amazing bird masks they created for their "Wearable Arts" Inquiry unit.  Room 5 then performed a play wearing their masks called "Rata and the Totara tree".
